help with labeling ourselves
My wife and I rebranded what was my bussiness brettculver.com to now be culverweddingco.com We have both been sick this week so as I felt better I started this alone and have noticed I am a perfectionist and my wife backs that and i have little relator qualities but love the document and create but I'm overally a nerd and geek out over the technical aspect of photos. My wife is my second shooter and her role is to document things I may miss or relate to the couple. I want to photograph couples in my strong suite and wheelhouse as a lead but i also what to have some more emotion and relator vibes so that my wife enjoys her time and is able to feel like she accomplished her mission as a photographer as well. Any tips on how to word that on our site based on day 5? We are a partnership and equal owners since we are married while I take the main photog role that is only because I am still teaching her some technical aspects. she relates to our couples better than i do at times so her assisting me is just as important as me taking photos most times

couple of little points to consider
You have permission to be a PERFECTOR. if you're involving yourself in the moment more than 25% of the time, you're not really a documentor - that's a special thing. most of what i see on your site doesn't feel documentor.
you could easily become one - but, it's a choice that has a portfolio knife that comes with it.
i don't know your brand voice, but if you could find a way to talk about yourself as a perfectionist and your wife as an extreme relator, people would love it.
be real - relators love that.
you guys, as a team, could really help relators understand how great their photos can be
But, know this - those wanting a PERFECTION-focused photographer don't really care (as much) about the relator.
one idea, aim at relator clients (which you probably have in you as well) with your own work on display. and then make a bigger deal on your About Us page of how you and your wife work together. Have fun describing each of your styles. be persona and fun.
long story short -- Start with who YOU are/want to be. add her and your mix to the equation on the about us page. talk about 'the best of both personalities' on that page. have fun with it.
